Under Hartford, Conn., Mun. Code ch. 18 § 18-29, rental property licenses in Hartford have a defined lifespan: each new or renewed license runs from its issuance date through the fourth October 31 that follows, giving it a maximum term of four years. A license can be cut short if it is suspended or revoked under the related provisions of the Code.
