Under § 5.36.100 of Carpentersville's Residential Rental Licensing Program, compliant operators typically document the condition of units at move-in and move-out to establish a baseline record. Landlords generally include lease language that mirrors these tenant responsibilities, making clear that vandalism, code violations, and unsafe or unsanitary conditions are prohibited. Maintaining routine inspection records can help property managers identify and address potential violations of this section before they escalate.
