All structures in which insects or rodents are found shall be promptly exterminated by approved processes that will not be injurious to human health. Chicago Ridge § 14-86 requires that all rental dwellings, dwelling units, and rooming units remain free from insect and rodent infestation and comply with the Village Property Maintenance Code. Every rental structure must be treated by a licensed pest control company at least once per year, with documentation submitted to the village clerk by December 31 of each year. When an infestation is found in more than one unit, the rule calls for monthly licensed extermination treatments of all common areas and affected units for the rest of the license year.
