For Property Managers

Operators subject to Third Lake Art. VI Landlord Registration § 10-189 generally keep close track of any changes to their registered information—such as ownership details, contact information, or management changes—and submit a completed amended registration form to the village within the 20-day window. The village provides the required form, so compliant operators obtain and use that official document rather than submitting informal notices. Maintaining a current registration helps demonstrate ongoing compliance with Article VI's requirements.

For Tenants

Third Lake Art. VI Landlord Registration § 10-189 requires building owners to keep their village registration current, which means tenants can expect that accurate landlord contact and ownership information is on file with the village. If a tenant suspects that registration information is outdated or that an amendment was not filed after a known change, they may contact the village directly to inquire about the registration status of their building. Tenant-rights organizations can also help residents understand what remedies or complaint processes may be available when registration obligations appear to have gone unmet.
