Under Grand Rapids Ch. 176 Human Rights § 9.963, property owners and managers are expected to ensure that all advertising, postings, and communications related to housing are free of language that discriminates or implies discriminatory preferences. Compliant operators also avoid steering applicants, making biased referrals, or taking any adverse action against a person who has raised a fair housing concern or participated in an investigation.
