Under § 244.1945, operators seeking to reinstate a denied, revoked, or suspended rental license generally prepare two things before submitting their application: the correct reinstatement fee ($1,000 if they are a new owner, $3,000 if they held an interest at the time of the license action) and documentation proving they completed a director-approved rental property management course within the prior year. This fee is separate from and in addition to the standard license fees required under § 244.1880. Compliant operators typically confirm course approval with the director of regulatory services before enrolling to ensure the training will satisfy the requirement.
