V § 15-173, the Permits and Inspections Department will conduct an inspection within 30 days of the application filing. A compliant operator generally ensures the property is accessible for inspection and that the intended occupancy level does not exceed what local zoning laws allow, since no permit can authorize occupancy beyond those limits. V § 15-173.

For Tenants

Residents of rooming houses, second class dwellings, hotels, or nursing homes in Bellevue may find it useful to know that Bellevue, Neb., Code of Ordinances ch. 15, art. V § 15-173 requires the Permits and Inspections Department to inspect these properties within 30 days of a permit application and prohibits permits that would allow more occupants than zoning laws permit. If a tenant believes a property is being operated without a valid permit or is overcrowded beyond zoning limits, general enforcement paths include contacting the Permits and Inspections Department or consulting a local tenant-rights organization familiar with ch. 15, art.
