For Property Managers

Property owners and managers operating in Bellevue should ensure that every habitable room meets the window requirements set out in Bellevue, Neb., Code of Ordinances ch. 15, art. III § 15-51, including verifying that each room has a qualifying window facing a street, alley, or open air space of sufficient width. Compliant operators calculate window area as a fraction of floor area and confirm it meets the one-eighth minimum—or the 15 percent skylight threshold where applicable. Renovation or new construction plans are typically reviewed against these standards before work begins to avoid code deficiencies.
