For Property Managers

Operators of buildings subject to Auburn, N.Y., Code of Ordinances ch. 182 § 182-13 generally ensure that all public spaces—lobbies, lounges, meeting rooms, recreation areas, and similar common areas—maintain a ceiling height of at least seven feet six inches. Compliant operators also verify that electric lighting meets the standards referenced in § 182-17(E) for lobbies and lounges, and that other public rooms have lighting appropriate to their intended use. Ventilation systems in these spaces are typically confirmed to satisfy either the natural ventilation standards for habitable space or the mechanical ventilation specifications in Table II.
