Plain English — not legal advice.
Under § 748-10, the Code Enforcement Officer and authorized inspectors have the legal authority to carry out housing-standards inspections and compliance actions in Canandaigua. Compliant property operators generally cooperate with properly identified inspectors—those carrying official identification cards as required by this section—and respond to any notices or directives issued through that office. Familiarity with the chain of authority described in § 748-10 helps operators understand who is empowered to act on behalf of the city's minimum housing standards program.
