For Property Managers

Property owners and managers subject to Gloversville, N.Y., Code ch. 170 § 170-16 generally ensure that all required fees and penalties are paid promptly to the City Commissioner of Finance at City Hall within 30 days of the due date to avoid the 2% monthly surcharge. Compliant operators maintain accurate records and provide truthful information to the Fire Chief, Building Inspector, or other enforcement officers, since providing false information carries the same penalty exposure as an underlying violation. Because unpaid amounts can be placed on the property tax roll or reduced to a money judgment, operators typically address any cited violations and associated fines without delay.
