Operators of residential properties in Gloversville are generally expected to ensure that all plumbing fixtures covered under ch. 170 § 170-7 are properly installed, connected to approved water supply and sewage systems, and maintained in good working order. Compliant landlords typically verify that each dwelling unit contains a private toilet and lavatory, a private bathtub or shower, and a kitchen sink with functioning hot and cold water connections. Rooming house operators generally confirm that the required ratio of fixtures to sleeping rooms is met and that hot water is consistently delivered at the 110°F minimum — and that any existing structure not meeting these standards is brought into compliance through alteration or repair.
