Operative Text
(a) An existing owner subject to this article shall provide the registration form required by section 12-83 to the clerk of the village. (b) An owner subject to this article shall provide a registration form to the clerk of the village every three (3) years after the initial registration form is provided. The form shall be provided on or before the anniversary date of the initial registration.
Kenmore Village Code ch. 12, art. V § 12-85 establishes a recurring registration requirement for rental property owners covered by Article V. After submitting an initial registration form to the village clerk, covered owners must renew that registration every three years, with each renewal due on or before the anniversary date of the original filing. The rule creates a rolling, calendar-anchored cycle rather than a one-time obligation.

Under Kenmore Vill. Code ch. 12, art. V § 12-85, compliant rental property operators track the anniversary date of their initial registration with the village clerk and submit a new registration form before that date every three years. Maintaining a calendar reminder or tickler system tied to the original filing date is a common practice among operators who stay current with this requirement. Operators who acquired a property after the initial registration was filed typically confirm the existing anniversary date so their renewal schedule aligns with § 12-85.

Kenmore Vill. Code ch. 12, art. V § 12-85 requires that landlords subject to Article V keep their registration current with the village clerk on a three-year renewal cycle. Tenants who want to verify whether their landlord has met this obligation can inquire with the Kenmore village clerk's office, which maintains the registration records. Tenant-rights organizations familiar with Kenmore's rental regulations can help residents understand what options may be available if a landlord appears to be out of compliance with the registration requirement.
