For Property Managers

Under § 77-15, properties containing two or more apartments in Oneida are subject to mandatory periodic inspections by the Chief Officer or their designate at least once every two years. Operators who maintain their properties in compliance with the housing code are generally better positioned when these routine inspections occur and when any written complaints trigger an investigation. If a violation order is issued and not resolved within the specified timeframe, § 77-15 directs the agency to refer the matter to the city's Chief Legal Officer for further action.
