For Property Managers

Under Oswego, N.Y., Code of Ordinances ch. 149 § 149-8, operators of residential properties generally ensure that every occupied building meets the code's requirements for occupancy, room size, natural or artificial light, and adequate ventilation. Compliant operators apply these standards uniformly across all units and structures covered by Part 1, and treat any accessory uses in accordance with the uniform definition the provision establishes. Maintaining documentation of how each building meets these baseline conditions is a common practice among property managers operating under this chapter.
