For Property Managers

Under Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Code of Ordinances ch. 12 § 12-160, property owners and managers are generally expected to ensure that every bathroom, shower room, toilet room, or compartment in a residential building meets the ventilation standard. Compliant operators typically verify that openable window or vent areas total at least 1½ square feet facing open space, or that a mechanical or other equivalent ventilation system is in place and functioning.
