Operators of mobile homes in Rensselaer are generally expected to keep interiors—including floors, walls, ceilings, furnishings, and fixtures—clean and sanitary in compliance with § 121-53. Compliant operators typically ensure that appropriate refuse containers are on hand, that self-closing devices or screens are installed on entrances and ventilated openings between May 1 and October 1, that pest issues are addressed through accepted extermination methods, and that flammable materials are stored in an approved manner. Keeping documentation of routine maintenance and pest-control activities can help demonstrate ongoing compliance with these standards.
