HUD HCV Guidebook § 9.1.2
Homeless Individuals
PHAs may admit Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Program for Homeless
Individuals to the program prior to receiving their SSN documentation. The applicants must provide
documentation of their SSN within 90 calendar days. PHAs may grant an additional 90-day extension. PHAs
must terminate SRO participants’ assistance if documentation is not provided within these time limits.
