HUD HCV Guidebook § 11
The family receives an original of the lease and copy of the tenancy addendum. The owner receives
an original of the lease and HAP contract, including the tenancy addendum. The PHA maintains a
copy of the lease, tenancy addendum, and an original of the HAP contract.

During the term of the assisted tenancy and for at least three years thereafter, the PHA must73 keep
on file a copy of the HAP contract, including the tenancy addendum, and the lease.
