Manufactured housing operators and dealers subject to the Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission's oversight should be aware that, under § 535-X-16-.03, the fees they may owe for licensing, inspections, or other regulatory services are set through a formal recommendation-and-publication process. Compliant operators generally monitor Commission meeting minutes, where any new or revised fee schedule is officially published, to stay current on applicable charges. Keeping track of these published schedules helps ensure that required fees are paid accurately and on time.

Residents of manufactured housing in Alabama may find it useful to know that § 535-X-16-.03 governs how the Alabama Manufactured Housing Commission funds its administrative and enforcement activities through a published fee schedule. While this provision primarily addresses Commission operations rather than tenant-facing charges, understanding that the Commission has enforcement responsibilities can be relevant when a housing concern arises. Tenants who believe a manufactured housing issue falls under the Commission's jurisdiction may consult the Commission's published meeting minutes or contact a tenant-rights organization for general guidance on available options.
