N.J.S.A. 46:8-1 et seq. § 46:8-64 authorized the state director to issue the administrative rules that give operational detail to New Jersey's landlord-tenant law. Property owners and managers generally stay current with the regulations adopted under this rulemaking authority, since those rules define compliance standards for the broader statutory scheme. Reviewing the New Jersey Register for rules promulgated pursuant to L.2021, c.110 is a common practice among compliant operators.
