(3) The department shall send a written reminder notice to each landlord that holds a current registration under this section before the due date for the landlord to file a new registration. The department shall confirm receipt of a registration. (4) Notwithstanding subsections (1) to (3) of this section, the department may provide for registration and confirmation of registration to be accomplished by electronic means instead of in writing. (5) Moneys from registration fees described in subsection (1) of this section must be deposited in the Manufactured and Marina Communities Account.
ORS § 90.732 establishes an annual registration requirement for landlords who operate manufactured housing or marina community facilities in Oregon. Each facility must be registered separately with the Housing and Community Services Department, along with a fee of $100 for facilities with more than 20 spaces or $50 for facilities with 20 or fewer spaces. New facilities must be registered within 60 days of opening, and the department is required to send reminder notices before renewal deadlines. Registration fees collected are deposited into the Manufactured and Marina Communities Account.

Under ORS § 90.732, operators of manufactured housing or marina community facilities are expected to maintain a current annual registration with the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department for each facility they own or manage. Compliant operators typically track renewal deadlines, respond to the department's written reminder notices, and submit accurate facility information—including the landlord's name and address, the facility's name, physical and mailing addresses, a telephone number, and total space count. New facilities require registration no later than 60 days after opening, and the applicable fee ($50 or $100 depending on facility size) must accompany each registration filing.

ORS § 90.732 gives tenants in manufactured housing and marina communities a basis for verifying that their landlord is properly registered with the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department. A landlord's failure to maintain current registration as required by this section may be relevant information when raising concerns about a facility's compliance with state housing law. Tenants who have questions about their landlord's registration status or related rights may find it useful to contact the Oregon Housing and Community Services Department directly or reach out to a local tenant-rights organization for general guidance.
