Under R307-841-2, property owners who hire firms to perform renovations in target housing or child-occupied facilities should verify that the firm holds valid certification under Section R307-841-7 and that the work is directed by a certified renovator. Compliant operators also confirm that the 'Renovate Right' pamphlet is distributed to owners and occupants before renovation work begins. Maintaining documentation of certifications and pamphlet distribution is part of the recordkeeping obligations associated with this rule.
