Washington's Wash. Rev. Code § 59.30.010 et seq. § 59.30.060 requires the state department to build and continuously maintain as accurate a database as possible covering all manufactured and mobile home communities in the state. This database must include the information gathered under RCW 59.30.050, with one notable exception: the individual lot addresses within communities governed by chapter 59.20 RCW are excluded from the general database. Those excluded addresses must still be shared with the attorney general and the department of commerce in a format determined through a collaborative agreement between the department and the attorney general.

For Property Managers

Under Wash. Rev. Code § 59.30.060, operators of manufactured and mobile home communities can expect that the state department will be collecting and maintaining community-level information about their properties in a statewide database. Compliant operators generally ensure that the information they submit under RCW 59.30.050 is accurate and up to date, since that data forms the foundation of the database. Individual lot addresses within communities subject to chapter 59.20 RCW are handled separately and shared only with designated state agencies, not made part of the public-facing database.

For Tenants

Wash. Rev. Code § 59.30.060 establishes a state-maintained database of manufactured and mobile home communities, which can serve as a resource for tenants seeking information about their community. Residents of communities covered by chapter 59.20 RCW should be aware that their individual lot addresses are specifically protected from inclusion in the general database, with access limited to the attorney general and the department of commerce. Tenants who believe their community's information is missing or inaccurate in the database may consider reaching out to a tenant-rights organization or the relevant state agency to understand what recourse may be available.
