Bloomington Code of Ordinances Chapter 14 Article VIII — Rental Housing Code

Bloomington Rental Housing Code (Art. VIII of ch. 14 Licenses and Permits): 23 sections, §§ 14.566–14.594 (node IDs 0-0-0-101165 through 0-0-0-101363). § 14.566 PURPOSE AND INTENT — to protect health/safety/welfare of residents living in housing furnished through payment to the owner. § 14.567 ADOPTED BY REFERENCE — adopts the 2024 International Property Maintenance Code. § 14.568 DEFINITIONS. § 14.569 LICENSE REQUIRED — "No person is permitted to allow to be occupied, let or offered to let to another for occupancy... for any dwelling unit or group housing unless the owner has first obtained a license under the terms of this Article VIII." §§ 14.570–14.594: license application, standards, renewal, revocation, inspection, enforcement, and penalty provisions. Same class of content as Minneapolis ch. 244 Art. XVI (Rental Dwelling Licenses) and Rochester ch. 7-9 (Rental Unit Registration), already in scope.
